Blasting: City gate at McCallum Road (Expires March, 2023)

NOTIFICATION OF  BLASTING

 

Description of work to be done: Blasting rock formations for service trenches and footings

Estimated duration of  project: Approximately 1 (one) year

Hours of Blasting:              Monday through Thursday: 8:30a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Friday: 8:30 am to 3:00 pm

(No blasting, Sundays or Statutory Holidays)

The blast locations have proper blasting signage at all appropriate locations surrounding the sites.

For each blast, there will be the following blast signals:

  1. Before the blast, 12 blasts of a horn
  2. A two minute pause
  3. Blast detonated
  4. A 15 second blast indicating the area is now safe
