NOTIFICATION OF  BLASTING

Description of work to be done: Drilling and Blasting, for Westview Phase 6, 8 & 9 on Bear Mountain Parkway, Langford, BC.

Estimated duration of  project: Approximately six (6) month

Hours of Blasting:              Monday through Saturday: 8:00a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

(No blasting, Sundays or Statutory Holidays)

The blast locations have proper blasting signage at all appropriate locations surrounding the sites. Flaggers are used to shut down Bear Mountain Parkway. All other contractors in the area are notified of each blast. Please note there are no living structures within 300 metres of the blasting operations at these sites.

For each blast, there will be the following blast signals:

1. Before the blast, 12 short whistle blows at one second intervals
2. A two minute pause
3. Blast detonated
4. A one 5 second whistle indicated the area is all clear
