What:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Intersection Disruption – Watermain ReplacementÂ
Please be advised that from Monday, September 25, 2023, between 9:00AM and 3:00PM, watermain construction will be taking in the intersection of Goldstream Avenue and Jacklin Road. The intersection will have limited movements, and the intersection will be controlled by traffic control personnel; delays are to be expected.
On Tuesday, September 26, 2023, between 7:00AM and 7:00PM, watermain construction will be taking in the intersection of Goldstream Avenue and Jacklin Road. The intersection will be CLOSED to all traffic except buses and emergency vehicles. Please follow detour signs and obey traffic control personnel on-site.
BC Transit and emergency vehicles will have full access through this work location. Business access will be maintained.
This project is part of a much larger watermain replacement that continues west as far as Leigh Road. The project is being constructed in sections to best manage traffic. The project has started at the east end/Veteran’s Memorial Parkway to get out of the downtown area before the warmer weather and special events occur. An updated traffic advisory will be issued weekly or more frequently, if required. Please visit www.langford.ca/CRD for more information.
Traffic control personnel will be on-site during working hours to facilitate vehicle and pedestrian access to local businesses in the affected area. Please follow the BLUE route during construction if accessing businesses. Please follow signage and Traffic Control Personnel directions during construction. Motorists should expect and should plan for longer commuting times. We apologize for the inconvenience.
