Effective on Thursday, July 16 2026, at 12 p.m. (noon), all open fires, including campfires, are banned across the Coastal Fire Centre. All permits are suspended and no new permits will be issued until further notice. Portable campfire apparatus that uses gaseous fuels such as propane are still permitted as long as they are CSA or ULC approved and the flame height is less than 15cm.

Please be advised that on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, between 9:00AM and 3:00PM, underground electrical work will occur on Goldstream Avenue between McMurdo Terrace and Eileen Anderson Drive.

Traffic control personnel will be on-site directing traffic. Delays may be expected, motorists please be aware. BC Transit and emergency vehicles will have full access through this work location. We apologize for the inconvenience.
