Traffic: Malahat Highway Northbound at West Shore Parkway and Southbound at Mill Bay Road

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Issued:             Friday, February 24, 2023 

Where:             Malahat Highway Northbound at West Shore Parkway and Southbound at Mill  Bay Road

When:              Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 5:00PM to 5:00AM*

What:               Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Malahat Protocols for Winter Weather

Drivers please be advised that CVSE (Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement) staff will be checking vehicles northbound on the Trans Canada Highway (TCH) entering the Malahat at West Shore Parkway and vehicles southbound at the TCH section at Mill Bay Road tomorrow in anticipation of predicted snowfall. *Subject to change; snowfall/weather dependant.

Commercial vehicles must carry chains. All personal vehicles must have mud and snow/winter tires in place. Please do not travel on the Malahat in adverse road conditions if your vehicle is not property equipped to do so for the safety of you and those driving around you.
