Effective on Thursday, July 16 2026, at 12 p.m. (noon), all open fires, including campfires, are banned across the Coastal Fire Centre. All permits are suspended and no new permits will be issued until further notice. Portable campfire apparatus that uses gaseous fuels such as propane are still permitted as long as they are CSA or ULC approved and the flame height is less than 15cm.

Please be advised that on Tuesday, March 22 from 1:00PM to 2:30PM, traffic will be reduced to single lane alternating on Meaford Avenue between Station Avenue and Peatt Road.
