General Information:
Which positions are available? Residents will elect one Mayor, six Councillors, and four School Trustees for a four-year term.
Who can vote in the General Local Elections? You qualify to vote as a “resident elector” in the City of Langford if you meet the following criteria:
- You must be 18 years of age or older on or before general voting day;
- You are a Canadian Citizen;
- You have been a resident of BC for at least 6 months immediately before the day of registration;
- You are a resident of Langford on the day of registration; and
- You are not disqualified from voting by law.
I am not sure if I am on the voter’s list. Can I still vote? You may register to vote on the advance voting or general voting day if you meet the elector qualifications. Please bring two pieces of ID that provide evidence of your identity and place of residence. At least one piece of ID must contain your signature.
