West Shore Parks & Recreation invite the public to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the JDF Arena on Saturday with $.50 admission rates October 22nd at 3:00pm.

The Juan De Fuca Arena (JDF), on West Shore Parks & Recreation property, has been a community hub since it first opened its doors October 15, 1972. For 50 years the JDF Arena has been home to generations of Westshore families, who have enjoyed the ice and dry floor surface for Hockey, Figure Skating, Lacrosse, and other activities.

On Saturday, October 22nd at 2:30pm West Shore Parks & Recreation will be hosting a community celebration to mark the special occasion. Beginning at 2:30pm outside the JDF Arena doors special guests will be recognized and birthday cake served. This will be followed by a public skate with “Throw Back” admissions rates of $.50 from 3pm – 3:50pm

Please arrive early to guarantee your access and celebrate this half century milestone.
