Sarah Beckett Memorial Run
The Sarah Beckett Memorial Run is a 5km and 3km family run and walk which raises money for local non-profit organizations in the Western Communities in southern Vancouver Island. This event takes place locally in Langford BC and a virtual event is also available for those who are unable to attend the local run/walk.
This event is in memory of Cst Sarah Beckett, a Police Officer from the West Shore RCMP Detachment, who was killed in the line of duty on April 5, 2016.

Run Information:
We ask that you park in the areas marked as “P” for Parking. Please refrain from parking at the City Centre Arena or the Bowling Alley. Please note that roads out lined in RED are Resident Permit Parking only. Public parking is available on Alouette Drive (marked in blue on the map off of Langford Lake Road).

Dog Friendly Event: We welcome your four legged family member but please ensure all dogs are kept on leash and under control at all times. There will dog water stations on site!
Children in Strollers: If you bring a child who will be riding in a stroller for the entirety of the run/walk, they do not require separate registration. However, any children running or walking on their own, should be registered for insurance reasons.
First Aid: St Johns Ambulance will be on scene to assist with any medical related issues such as needing band-aids, scraped knee etc. Please see the St Johns Ambulance volunteers for assistance. In the case of a serious medical emergency, please dial 911 immediately.
Bathrooms: There will be access to washroom facilities at the Starlight Stadium.
Lost and Found: All lost and found items can be turned into the registration tent. If you are unsure, please ask one of our amazing volunteers.
Water Station: We will have a water station along the run route, please review the run map on our website for the exact location. There will be light snacks at the station as well should participants need them.
We encourage all participants to wear their run shirts to the memorial run. Medals will be issued to the finishers as they cross the race line. But most importantly, HAVE FUN. This run is to commemorate the life of an amazing woman who touched the lives of so many. Thank you for signing up and being part of this event and carrying on her legacy!
