‘It’s awesome’: Annual Show and Shine Classic Car Show Hits the Streets of Langford
Under the Goldstream Avenue arch, the 10th annual Langford Show and Shine attracted car enthusiasts from across Vancouver Island this weekend.
The annual event displayed a wide range of classic and muscle cars from 1975 and earlier on Sunday, with awards for the best makes and models.
“They’re just classic cars, they don’t make any of that anymore,” attendee Gerry Pellerin told CHEK News.
“The classic cars have a real style to them. Today’s models are pretty much the same, you know, and it takes a lot of work and a lot of love to put these together.”
Tons of people came down to check out the cars and enjoy live music, food and, for the little ones, face painting. Donations for local food banks were also collected.
“As you can see by the turnout, people love these things. They’re gorgeous,” added Pellerin.
