Application Developer/Analyst

In this position you will collaborate closely with our Manager of IT and GIS and all City departments to provide technical knowledge and other assistance for a migration to Sharepoint Online and help solve operational issues to improve other system and application efficiencies as you go. You will develop reports using SSRS, provide SQL database support and assist with the creation and improvement of existing in-house applications to modern web development frameworks.
As our ideal candidate, you are comfortable with a busy schedule of competing priorities, capable of working independently or as part of a team and are self-motivated. You have a sense of humour, with the ability to take your work seriously but not yourself!
Qualifications for this position include:
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science and three (3) years’ related experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Technologies including Office 365, MS-SQL and SharePoint On-line
- Experience with modern JavaScript front and backend development frameworks (i.e. React, Node etc.)
- Valid BC Drivers License
