Arts, Culture & Economic Development Coordinator

If so, the City of Langford invites you to apply for a temporary, full-time opportunity to be our Arts, Culture & Economic Development Coordinator!
As our Arts, Culture & Economic Development Coordinator, you will maintain the City’s business license program and commercial lease space databases and support the City’s economic development initiatives through building and maintaining relationships with local businesses, coordinating workshops, conducting research and monitoring trends. You will support City arts and culture programs by coordinating business and artist activities at The Langford Station cultural district, identify grant opportunities and assist with grant application processes and coordination.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in business administration and three (3) years’ experience in communications, public relations, and/or economic/tourism marketing, ideally in a public sector environment (or an equivalent combination)
- Strong writing and proofreading skills and knowledge of business English
- Graphic design (InDesign, publisher, illustrator, word press, photo shop) and experience with social media is an asset

The salary range offered for this temporary, full-time position is $38.89 to $43.21 per hour plus an excellent benefits package including one of Canada’s top pension plans, and a 35-hour modified work week schedule with flex days.
