Manager of Legislative Services

As the Manager of Legislative Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities of the Legislative Services department, including management of bylaws, preparation of Council and Committee agendas, policies, the City’s records, and information management program, FOIPPA requirements and requests, privacy management, and scanning services. This position also acts as the deputy chief elections officer as needed.
Qualifications for this position include:
- University degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field
- Five (5) years’ related experience, including three (3) years in a management supervisory role in Municipal Administration (or an equivalent combination)
- Certified Records Manager in good standing
- Certificate in local government administration is considered an asset
- Thorough knowledge of Community Charter, and Local Government Act and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
- Expert knowledge of records and information management procedures
- Thorough knowledge of election legislation and election practices/procedures and requirements
- A team player with a strong work ethic
- A sense of humor, with the ability to take your work seriously but not yourself.

The salary range for this regular, full-time position is $115,064 to $135,369, plus an excellent benefits package including one of Canada’s top pension plans, and a 35-hour modified workweek schedule with flex days.
