Oakcrest Park Estates Ltd., a Victoria based holding company and investor in industrial properties is developing a turnkey warehouse for one of Canada’s largest plumbing supply companies. EMCO’s warehouse and showroom is under construction in Langford, BC. The building’s structure is one of Canada’s first mass timber warehouses utilizing CLT mass timber technologies. The panels, supplied by Katerra, were all prefabricated off site to a one millimeter tolerance and are combined with some conventional wood framing techniques to provide an efficient solution. The Studio 531 Team recently met on site to monitor the construction and inspect the installation of the CLT panels and hoisting of Glulam beams. The speed of erection was impressive and what is shown in the photos took only 2 weeks to construct! Congratulations to CITTA Construction and the team on site.
