Esther is a potter and ceramic artist based on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.  She specializes in functional pottery and carved porcelain pieces.

She grew up in Windsor Ontario where she started taking pottery, painting and drawing lessons at the Willistead Manor Coach-house in the early 70’s.  With money she earned selling functional pottery she bought her first wheel and kiln.  She moved to the Toronto area to attend Sheridan College School Craft & Design graduating with a Ceramic’s Major in 1980.

Teaching many children and adult clay classes over the years has inspired her to make ornamental clay animals and learn new project ideas such as clay whistles.  Her functional work is designed to be durable and chip resistant and dishwasher safe.

Esther’s work is in constant development as she expands her business. As well as selling at shows, her work can be found at My Chosen Cafe’s Sugar Shack.
