CITY HOSTS IDEAS FAIR AT JOHN HORGAN CAMPUS

INVITES COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION ON CURRENT MASTER PLANS

(Langford, B.C.) –  The City of Langford is hosting an Ideas Fair on Saturday, October 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the new John Horgan Campus (798 Goldstream Avenue). This event will provide community members a valuable opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, provide feedback, and ask questions of City staff and subject matter experts on key community initiatives. These include several master plans and strategies under development, such as:

  • Arts & Culture Strategy
  • Economic Development Strategy
  • Transportation Master Plan
  • Active Transportation Plan
  • Parks and Trails Master Plan

Interactive Bike Tour
As part of the event, attendees are invited to join a guided Bikeshop Tour. Ride an Evolve e-bike or e-scooter, or bring your own, and join consultants to help identify areas for improvement such as sidewalk gaps, difficult intersections, and cycling infrastructure that could be more inclusive. The tour will showcase recommendations being considered in the Transportation and Active Transportation Plans. Advance registration is required. Visit: Bike Tours for the Langford Active & Transportation Master Plans to book your free ticket.

In addition to attending the Ideas Fair, residents are encouraged to share their input by completing online surveys available through the City’s engagement platform LetsChatLangford.ca.

Participants can enjoy light refreshments and a children’s activity area, with bicycle parking and EV charging available on site.
