Langford is home to many different sports fields, court surfaces and other recreation facilities. Our Starlight Stadium (built to FIFA 2 star specifications) is the home of Rugby Canada, Pacific Football Club and the West Shore Rebels. Many of the City’s fields, baseball diamonds, tennis courts and other outdoor facilities are available for community use. Others can be rented for exclusive use. Starlight Stadium

Starlight Stadium is a state-of-the-art sporting facility located at City Centre Park in the heart of Langford. Recently expanded in 2019, the outdoor stadium is now the largest in the region, with a premium grade artificial turf field and seating for upwards of 6,000 spectators, including 18 VIP suites.

The Stadium is home to Canadian professional soccer club Pacific FC, as well as Rugby Canada and the Westshore Rebels (CJFL). Starlight Stadium has been the host of several international test matches through the Americas Rugby Championship and hosts the annual HSBC Canada Women’s Sevens. The Stadium is anticipated to be a hub for various international sporting events in the future.

The area around the pond features picnic tables, lamps with speakers and Wi-Fi portals, a 25 foot by 16 foot stage and one of two new concession stands. Other onsite amenities include a DJ booth, cocktail bar and public parking. The Sarah Beckett Memorial Playground, also built in 2019, is located adjacent to the stadium grounds.

Centennial Park

With four improved baseball diamonds, two upgraded tennis courts, a picnic area, splash park and playgrounds, Centennial Park is one of Langford’s best multi-recreation spots.

While the older kids are playing a game of baseball, you can find a seat at a picnic table and watch the younger ones enjoy one of Langford’s newest splash parks. Or challenge a friend to a game of tennis. Centrally located near Downtown Langford, there is no shortage of sporting options to be had here. There are also public washrooms and parking available on site.

Centennial Park is used extensively by athletic groups in Langford. As such, booking the field for practices or games is done through the City of Langford’s Parks Department.

Ed Fisher Memorial Field

Ed Fisher Memorial Field is a large, all-purpose field located in the Happy Valley neighbourhood. The park has a full field for soccer, football or rugby and a minor baseball diamond. To keep the youngest kids happy, there is a playground and swings at one end of the field. There is also a public washroom, picnic tables, ample parking and bleachers that welcome spectators of Langford’s local sport teams.

Ed Fisher Memorial Field is used extensively by athletic groups in Langford. As such, booking the field for practices or games is done through the City of Langford’s Parks Department.

A.T. Gordon Memorial Park

A.T. Gordon Memorial Park is located in the Happy Valley neighbourhood and was built with Langford’s little leaguers in mind.

The park’s baseball diamond is sized for little league baseball teams. Players’ younger siblings can scramble over the jungle-gym while their older siblings shoot hoops on the basketball court. Parents can watch them all from the permanent bleacher stands behind the diamond. A concession and washroom facility stands in the centre of the A.T. Gordon Memorial Park. Picnic tables and ample parking are also available.

Veterans Memorial Park

Veterans Memorial Park is Langford’s downtown urban park and the site of the City’s annual festivals, events and popular Goldstream Farmers Market.

The centre of the park features a cenotaph, commemorating the men and women of the Canadian Forces who have given their lives in the line of duty, and where Langford holds its annual Remembrance Day ceremonies.

For everyday use and community events, the park has a newer playground and splash park, a basketball court, a gazebo for picnics and musical performances and an accessible public washroom. A feature water fountain by the cenotaph and a lush garden provides a peaceful ambiance to the park.

Goudy Field

Goudy field is a full-sized artificial turf field lined for soccer football, baseball, lacrosse and rugby that is located beside Westhills Stadium. Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre at West Shore Parks and Recreation is home to an impressive lineup of facilities enjoyed by West Shore residents. The JDF lower park amenities include three 210’ x 300’ grass fields with stadium lights, one adult and two youth baseball diamonds, three sand volleyball courts, four concrete tennis courts, two basketball courts, a lacrosse box, par 3 golf course, four lawn bowling greens and more!
