CITY OF LANGFORD AND THE SOUTH ISLAND PRIMARY CARE SOCIETY PARTNER ON AN OUTDOOR MOVIE FUNDRAISER EVENT AT STARLIGHT STADIUM
(Langford, B.C.) – The City of Langford, in partnership with the South Island Primary Care Society (SIPCS), is pleased to announce an outdoor movie fundraising event on Friday, September 12, 2025, starting at 6 p.m.at Starlight Stadium, located at 1089 Langford Parkway. The event will feature live music, entertainment, family-friendly activities, and a screening of the film ‘Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning’ on a 33-foot screen.
The charity event aims to raise funds for the SIPCS, a local non-profit organization dedicated to expanding access to primary care throughout South Vancouver Island. The City of Langford invites residents and visitors to come together with family and friends in support of this cause.
Recently, the City of Langford, the SIPCS, and the Freemasons of Langford announced a long-term partnership to secure commercial space in the new Westshore Masonic Centre on Bryn Maur Road. This partnership includes funding of up to $1.7 million for tenant improvements, equipment, furniture, and fixtures. The Goldstream Medical Clinic will open early 2026.
“About 25% of West Shore residents do not have a family doctor, which is a challenge for our growing community. The SIPC is actively recruiting doctors, opening new clinics, and ensuring access to quality healthcare,” said Scott Goodmanson, Mayor of Langford. “The City has stepped up to support this effort by providing funding for a new clinic in the heart of downtown Langford. This movie night is a great opportunity for us to unite as a community and contribute to a meaningful cause.”
