Blossoming at the Farm
Blossoming at the Farm will host its seventh annual family fundraiser on May 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mary’s Farm and Sanctuary on Finlayson Arm Road. The event aims to raise about $10,000 to support its land-based learning programs and subsidize costs for families.
Visitors can expect a fair-style atmosphere with activities such as Chicken bingo, a silent auction, a marketplace featuring handmade items, face painting, a story walk, and guided animal visits. A lunch concession and mocktail garden will also be available.
Funds raised go directly towards programming, including food support, learning materials, and a sliding-scale fee system that allows children and youth to attend regardless of financial barriers.
Blossoming at the Farm operates as a non-profit learning community serving children as young as seven, up to age 18. About 35 participants attend full-time, with dozens more accessing services throughout the year. The organization also offers therapeutic sessions and a teen-focused program.
