Campfire Ban in Effect - July 16, 2026

Effective on Thursday, July 16 2026, at 12 p.m. (noon), all open fires, including campfires, are banned across the Coastal Fire Centre. All permits are suspended and no new permits will be issued until further notice. Portable campfire apparatus that uses gaseous fuels such as propane are still permitted as long as they are CSA or ULC approved and the flame height is less than 15cm.

Donate blood at Lakewood Elementary School on Monday, July 20 from 10:00 AM to 4:45 PM.

  • 📍2363 Setchfield Avenue
  • Directions: Access to Lakewood Elementary School gym is best from Treanor Avenue. Turn left after Camli Place and before Misty Way. Parking for this event is at the back of the school, not off of Setchfield Avenue.
