Police Services Front Counter Clerk

If so, the City of Langford invites you to apply for a full-time opportunity to be a Police Services Front Counter Clerk at the West Shore RCMP Detachment!
As a Police Services Front Counter Clerk, you will provide client and reception services as well as a variety of administrative support. Typical duties include aiding and providing information to the general public, conducting civil fingerprinting and Police Information Checks, serving subpoenas and other legal documents, and managing operational files utilising the PRIME system.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent and two (2) years related experience, ideally within a policing environment (or an equivalent combination)
- Typing/keyboard Certificate of Proficiency for typing speed minimum of 50 words per minute
- Ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance
- Working knowledge of Police Records Information Management Environment (PRIME) and Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) is an asset
To be successful in this position you will have strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task. You are an excellent communicator with a passion for customer service. You are organized and detail-oriented, with a sense of humour, and the ability to take your work seriously but not yourself! Your knowledge and experience with RCMP Records Management Systems, including PRIME, CPIC, and FileTRACK, will be a strong asset in this position.
The salary offer for this full-time position is $31.26 – $34.18 per hour, plus an excellent benefits package including one of Canada’s top pension plans, and a 35-hour modified work week with flex days.
