Police Services IT Analyst

If so, the City of Langford invites you to apply for a Police Services IT Analyst position at the Westshore RCMP Detachment!
As a Police Services IT Analyst, you will be responsible for the technology which enables all aspects of modern police work including the configuration, administration and maintenance of the Information Technology Infrastructure and the Local Area Network. This position is responsible for maintaining and keeping the West Shore Detachment’s IT infrastructure robust and secure.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Post-secondary diploma in computer science or related discipline and two (2) years experience including network and server management and providing user support in a server and client environment (or an equivalent combination)
- Ability to obtain Enhanced Security Clearance at the “Secret” level is required
- CCNP and MCSE certification and exposure to police-related systems such as PRIMCE, CPIC, Webforms and Bitlocker is an asset
- SharePoint experience is an asset
- Working knowledge of various computerised Information/Data Systems
- Working knowledge of the methods, principles, practices and capabilities of computer and network hardware, software, and operating systems
- Efficient in keyboarding and/or word processing, with a working knowledge of various computer word processing systems and software, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams, SharePoint), Adobe Acrobat, and various transcription software programs
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts at all levels of the organization
- Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
The salary range offered for this full-time position is $43.21- $47.23 per hour (2024 rates) plus an excellent benefits package including one of Canada’s top pension plans, and a 35-hour modified work week with flex days.
