Positions: Permanent Part-Time (20+ hours per week)
Casual (under 20 hours per week)
Placement: August 25, 2025
(summer program begins in 2026)
Hours: 10 – 35 hours, Monday to Friday. Shifts could include:
– 7am-9am
– 2pm-5:30pm
*additional hours available on non-instructional days between 7:00am-5:30pm
Wage Rate: $21.54/hour plus benefits, see below…
Benefit Eligibility:
The Permanent Part-Time position is entitled to a YMCA-YWCA individual membership; 15 days paid vacation (pro-rated); paid sick days (as per policy); and a cost-shared benefits package (after completion of the probationary period) which includes:

YMCA-YWCA School Age Child Care Staff, enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment facilitating adapted programming allowing children ages 5 -12 to participate meaningfully in all aspects of the
program.

Your responsibilities:
– Work effectively with children, staff, and other stakeholders to provide an inclusive, healthy, and engaging environment.
– To assist with the planning and implementation of a child centered program in accordance with YMCA-YWCA and CCFL standards, including YMCA A Place to Connect curriculum standards.
– Help children navigate conflict and role model positive behaviours.
– To read, understand and follow all YMCA-YWCA policies and procedures related to the supervision, guidance and care of children.
– To establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with families, providing quality customer service and building meaningful relationships within the community.
– To maintain a neat, orderly, and clean environment, including all activity areas and washrooms.
– To attend all professional development and training sessions as scheduled

Your qualifications:
– Must be at least 19 years of age.
– Experience working with children aged 5 – 12.
– Responsible Adult Certification or 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child Guidance and/or Nutrition is an asset.
– Early Childhood Education Assistant License to Practice an asset.
If offered a position:
– Current Standard First Aid and CPR required.
– A clear Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening required* (no cost to you).
– A clear Police/RCMP Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening required.*
