Infrastructure Projects

A realignment of existing crosswalks and bike lanes, including the addition of new elephant’s feet bike crossings and mixing zones to improve overall pedestrian and cyclist conditions. This project is partially funded by the Provincial Government’s Active Transportation Infrastructure Grants program.

Our Capital Projects for 2026 include the following projects,

A new traffic signal is set to be constructed at the intersection of Leigh Road and Dunford Avenue this year. This project will include sidewalks, scalloped parking stalls, a signalized crosswalk across Leigh Road, drainage improvements, and streetlighting upgrades.

Construction on Latoria this year will bring major improvements to the active transportation network between Triangle Trail and 774 Latoria Road (just east of Klahanie Drive). This project includes adding protected bike lanes on both sides of the road, a separated sidewalk, new bus stop locations, and more. 

This project is partially funded by the Provincial Government’s Active Transportation Infrastructure Grant program.

Alouette Drive qualifies for traffic calming under the City’s Traffic Calming Policy, which guides the implementation of engineering-approved measures that will increase safety for all users through an objective evidence-based decision-making tool. The traffic calming solution selected for Alouette Drive is speed cushions. They will be installed in two locations as part of a pilot project to help reduce traffic speed and volume on Alouette Drive.
