Over the past year, the City has worked closely with residents, businesses, and community partners to develop its first formal Economic Development Strategy. Guided by community input and best practices, the Strategy sets a shared direction for Langford’s economic future.
This is the final phase of public consultation and your opportunity to share feedback on whether the Draft Strategy reflects your priorities for Langford’s economic future.

Housing Strategy Survey
The City of Langford is making a plan to address housing challenges in the community. At the same time, the City is updating how it secures contributions from developers toward affordable housing and community amenities like recreational facilities, public plazas, libraries, and daycares so the requirements apply to all new development, and the rules match new provincial legislation. Langford community members are invited to share their perspectives on housing and community amenities by completing a short survey.

When: Thursday, May 1, 2025 to September 2025 from 7:00AM to 5:00PM

What: Traffic Delay – Latoria Road Improvement Project

Please be advised that on Thursday, May 1, 2025 to September 2025 from 7:00AM to 5:00PM, single lane alternating traffic will be in place due to upgrade work on Latoria Road between Triangle Trail and Goldspur Road.

Traffic control personnel will be on-site during working hours to facilitate vehicle and pedestrian access in the affected area. Please follow signage and Traffic Control Personnel directions during construction. Motorists should expect and should plan for longer commuting times. We apologize for the inconvenience.
