General Local Election 2026

The following voting opportunities are available in the City of Langford: 

Advanced Voting: 

• Wednesday, October 7, 2026 from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
  • Eagle Ridge Community Centre, 1089 Langford Parkway in the dry floor arena space.
• Wednesday, October 14, 2026 from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
  • Eagle Ridge Community Centre, 1089 Langford Parkway in the dry floor arena space.

General Voting Day: 

On General Voting Day, October 17, 2026, voters may attend any of the following locations from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm:

• Ruth King Elementary School, 2764 Jacklin Road
• Millstream Elementary School, 626 Hoylake Avenue
• Happy Valley Elementary School, 3291 Happy Valley Road
• PEXSISEN Elementary School, 3100 Constellation Ave

The City of Langford utilizes the Provincial Voters List for elections. If you are not on the Voters List, same day registration is available for voters.

To register in person at the time of voting and participate in the democratic process, please bring two (2) pieces of acceptable identification that provide evidence of your identity and place of residence to the voting location. One item must contain your signature and one item must contain your address.

To plan ahead, please review all the acceptable identification. Below are some commonly used identification options:

• British Columbia Driver’s Licence
• BC Services Card
• Owner’s Certificate of Insurance and Vehicle Licence issued by ICBC
• Canadian Passport or Citizenship Card issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada
• Social Insurance Number card issued by the Government of Canada
• Citizenship or membership card issued by a First Nation
• Indian status card or certificate
• Birth certificate
• Debit or credit card issued by a savings institution
• Property tax notice issued by the City of Langford
• Utility bill (for electricity, natural gas, telephone or cable service)

Please note, a combined BC Services Card and BC Drivers License count as one (1) piece of identification.

While all voting locations were selected with accessibility in mind, each location offers curbside voting which allows eligible voters to vote at their vehicle with no need to enter the voting place. Upon arrival at your chosen voting place, please look for the marked “Curbside Voting” parking spaces and park there. An Election Official will attend to you.

If you require assistance to mark your ballot, a trusted person may accompany you in the voting place and can be authorized to assist you after completing a form that will be available in the voting place.
