The City of Langford is looking for public input on three important initiatives:

Climate Action Plan Survey

The City is developing a Climate Action Plan to prepare for the impacts of climate change and reduce local greenhouse gas emissions.
This survey asks about your experiences, priorities, and expectations for the City’s role in climate action.
Your feedback will help guide early decisions about the plan’s focus, values, and priorities.

Residential Waste Collection Survey

The City is exploring a potential shift to a single, City‑contracted provider for curbside garbage and organics collection.

Over the past year, the City has been working alongside the community to create Langford’s first formal Arts and Culture Strategy.

Blasting: Irwin Road Pump Station - 2900 Block (Expires September 2025)

Description of work to be done: Irwin Road Pump Station – 2900 Block

Estimated duration of project: Blasting will commence on Thursday, August 7, 2025 for approximately two (2) weeks.

Hours of Blasting: Hours of Operation Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (No blasting on Saturdays, Sundays, or Statutory Holidays)

For each blast, there will be the following blast signals:

1. Before the blast, give 12 short whistle signals at one second intervals

2. Wait 2 minutes

3. Blast detonated

4. After area is cleared by blaster, give all clear: One ten second horn signal

5. Blasting mats will cover all blasts to safeguard persons and property

6. Seismographs will be used to monitor vibrations
