The John Horgan Campus is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between Royal Roads University, the University of Victoria, Camosun College, the Justice Institute of British Columbia, and School District 62. Serving students from across the Westshore and First Nations communities throughout southern Vancouver Island, the campus represents a major investment in education, innovation, and opportunity that brings higher learning closer to home, reducing long commutes, and positioning Langford as a growing hub for collaboration and economic growth.

Royal Roads University
The new Royal Roads University (RRU) John Horgan Campus offers innovative post-secondary education options for a growing number of students living in the Westshore. This first-of-its-kind partnership brings together multiple post-secondary options from institutions across the Greater Victoria Area.
The John Horgan Campus is the primary home of the undergraduate programming at RRU. Students are invited to explore, thrive and achieve where university is more than a place to study – it’s where your life takes flight.
Start your undergrad
Flexible options allow you to choose a path that aligns with your interests. Build your degree by starting with a certificate or diploma program, then from there, customize your degree path in one of 9 bachelor programs.
Choose from Business and Sustainability, Applied Environmental Sciences or Social Sciences for your first year on campus.
Complete your undergrad
Transfer into the third year of an RRU degree program. Build on your existing university credits, college diploma or relevant work experience to earn your bachelor’s degree.

University of Victoria (UVIC)
The University of Victoria is offering Continuing Studies courses at the John Horgan Campus, and in September 2026 will add the Faculty of Education’s post-degree elementary education program and the Faculty of Engineering’s Computing Gateway program.

Bachelor of Education – Elementary
UVic’s Bachelor of Education – Elementary Post-Degree Professional Program is a 16-month pathway for students with an undergraduate degree who want to become elementary school teachers. Students in this program will do their coursework and learning at the John Horgan Campus, benefiting from strong connections with local school districts, immersive hands-on learning opportunities, and a supportive, practice-focused environment.

The Computing Gateway is a 2-year program that gives students a strong start in computer science, software engineering and data science. With smaller class sizes, a close-knit learning community and the freedom to explore before choosing a discipline, the John Horgan Campus sets you up for success while keeping you on track to graduate with your peers at the Gordon Head campus.

Camosun College
Opened in September 2025, the John Horgan Campus is Camosun College’s newest learning space, located in the heart of downtown Langford. Camosun College is offering the following hands-on, career-focused programs designed to meet the needs of today’s workforce at the John Horgan Campus:
Information and Computer Systems Technologist
The Information and Computer Systems program prepares students for work locally and globally in database design and management, network software design, administration, and operations and maintenance of networks and software.
Health Care Assistant
As a Health Care Assistant, students are given the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to function effectively as a front-line caregiver and respected member of the healthcare team in both community and facility settings.
In the Early Learning and Care (ELC) program, students are provided with cutting edge knowledge and skills to work collaboratively with children, families, professionals and communities. They will learn to create responsive environments that support each child to reach their potential in every area.
Starting February 2026, Camosun will be offering two first-year University Transfer courses:

Sooke School District 62
The Sooke School District is offering a variety of adult education programs at the John Horgan Campus. Options include the Fast Forward to Grad program, designed to help learners complete their Adult Dogwood Diploma in an interactive five-month program.
Adults can also upgrade secondary courses to meet post-secondary admission requirements or enroll in English as an Additional Language class to strengthen their English skills for work, study, and everyday life.

Bus
Take BC Transit’s Route 95 Langford/Downtown RapidBus. The RapidBus features fewer stops than local routes, dropping you in Langford’s centre within 40 minutes (traffic dependent). Buses run frequently, making public transit a stress-free travel option. Riders can also connect with local routes that serve neighbourhoods throughout Langford, making it simple to reach parks, shopping centres, and community facilities without the need for a car.
Parking
From Victoria, get on the Trans-Canada Highway toward Langford and take one of four exits leading into town. Follow signs for downtown Langford, be welcomed with free parking and EV charging stations available throughout the city. Street parking is available in the town centre, with additional lots located near major attractions and shopping areas. For those driving electric vehicles, multiple fast-charging stations can be found near grocery stores, libraries, and recreation centres, ensuring a convenient stop while you explore.
