Engineering Technologist – Engineering Construction

If so, the City of Langford invites you to apply for a temporary, full-time Engineering Technologist position with our Engineering Construction Department!
As an Engineering Technologist with our Engineering Construction department, you will perform a combination of office and field work pertaining to municipal infrastructure, land and subdivision development. In this role, you will review engineering design documents, process permits, and perform field inspections as required.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Post-secondary diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute in Canada, and at least one (1) year related experience (or equivalent)
- Experience in municipal sector is considered an asset
- Working knowledge of municipal bylaws and engineering specifications pertaining to municipal infrastructures
- Eligible for membership with ASTTBC as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT) or EGBC as an EIT
- Valid BC Drivers’ license (Class 5)
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, and
- A sense of humour with the ability to take your work seriously but not yourself!
The salary range for this temporary, full-time position is $41.63 to $47.31 per hour, plus 13% in lieu of benefits and vacation.
