Langford is excited to welcome e-bike and e-scooter sharing to the city! The new zero-emission transportation service by Evolve offers residents and visitors a fun, affordable, and sustainable way to move around the city.
Powered by BCAA and operated by a BC-based team, Evolve is part of our commitment to environmental leadership, innovation, and providing accessible transportation alternatives that meet the needs of our growing community.
How it works
Getting started is simple:
1. Download the Evo App
Available on Android and iOS. Once you’re signed up, you can locate, unlock, and ride Evolve e-bikes and e-scooters using your smartphone.
2. Choose Your Ride
Langford will have:
- 75 e-scooters
- 75 e-bikes
Devices will be available at 30 locations throughout the city. A map of all locations can be found on the Evo app.
3. Park Responsibly
All rides must start and end in designated Evolve Parking Zones. These locations have been selected based on accessibility, GPS signal strength, and community convenience.
Pricing
You only pay for what you use:
- $0.35/minute or $12.99/hour – whichever is cheaper
- $1.25 unlock fee per trip
- BCAA Members save 10%
Frequent rider? A monthly membership is available for $9.99, which drops your per-minute rate to $0.10.

Safety first
Langford and Evolve are committed to rider and community safety. Here’s what you need to know:
- Riders must be 18+
- Helmets are mandatory – each device includes a shared helmet (cleaned and inspected regularly), or bring your own
- No passengers allowed (one person per e-scooter/ e-bike)
- Speed limits: Max 25 km/h, with designated slow zones and no-ride zones
- No riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Regular inspections and maintenance keep devices in safe working condition
- Safety outreach and training available at community events
