Effective on Thursday, July 16 2026, at 12 p.m. (noon), all open fires, including campfires, are banned across the Coastal Fire Centre. All permits are suspended and no new permits will be issued until further notice. Portable campfire apparatus that uses gaseous fuels such as propane are still permitted as long as they are CSA or ULC approved and the flame height is less than 15cm.

Blasting: 1231 Bramley Run (Expires September 2026)

Description of work to be done: 1231 Bramley Run

Estimated duration of project: Blasting will commence on Monday, August 10, 2026 for approximately one (1) months.

Hours of Blasting: Hours of Operation Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (No blasting on Saturdays, Sundays, or Statutory Holidays)

For following blasting signals shall be used: Blasting signs will be posted near and at the entrance of the site. Warning signals will be given as follows:

1. Before the blast, give 12 short whistle signals at one second intervals

2. Followed by a 2-minute pause

3. Blast will be detonated

4. A long whistle indicates all is clear

5. Blasting mats will cover all blasts

6. Seismographs will be used to monitor vibrations
