Effective on Thursday, July 16 2026, at 12 p.m. (noon), all open fires, including campfires, are banned across the Coastal Fire Centre. All permits are suspended and no new permits will be issued until further notice. Portable campfire apparatus that uses gaseous fuels such as propane are still permitted as long as they are CSA or ULC approved and the flame height is less than 15cm.

Description of work to be done: 3003 Irwin Road

Estimated duration of project: Blasting will continue on Monday, August 17, 2026, for approximately two (2) months.

Hours of Blasting: Hours of Operation Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (No blasting on Saturdays, Sundays, or Statutory Holidays)

The following blasting signals shall be used: Blasting signs will be posted near and at the entrance of the site. Warning signals will be given as follows:

1. Before the blast, 12 short whistle signals at one second intervals

2. Followed by a 20 second pause

3. Blast will be detonated

4. A long whistle indicates all is clear

5. All blasts will be covered mats

6. Seismographs will be used to monitor vibrations
