What: New Chidlow Connector Road Opening
The City of Langford will open the Chidlow Connector Road to through traffic on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 9:00 AM. The signal on Highway No. 14 Sooke Road was already activated at the Chidlow Connector Road (aka. Slegg Lumber) access point in December 2021. The phase opening Monday March 28th will make the new road fully connected to Luxton Road.
On Wednesday March 30, 2022 at 09:00 AM the City will permanently close Luxton Road between Marwood Avenue and Highway No. 14 Sooke Road. A separate traffic advisory will be released for this information as well.
School District No. 62 and BC Transit have already been notified and have made appropriate plans to continue service in this area. Any questions related to BC Transit service should be directed to BC Transit directly.
Drivers are asked to use caution while traffic adjusts to these new driving patterns. Please be aware that digital mapping systems such as “Google Map” may take several months to update, the City has no control over these external services and when they are updated.
