This is the final phase of public consultation and your opportunity to share feedback on whether the Draft Strategy reflects your priorities for Langford’s economic future.

Traffic: McCallum Road between Leigh Road and Springboard Place

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Where:           McCallum Road between Leigh Road and Springboard Place

When:            Monday, July 22, 2024, to Friday, July 26, 2024, from 4:00PM to 6:00AM

What:             Continued BC Hydro Utility Duct Bank work UPDATE– EXIT #15 CLOSURE and Single Lane Alternating

 

Please be advised that from Monday, July 22, 2024, to Friday, July 26, 2024, from 4:00PM to 6:00AM, traffic will continue to be intermittently reduced to single lane alternating, and EXIT #15 will also be closed to accommodate BC Hydro duct bank utility installation works on McCallum Road.

Please note that EXIT#15 will be closed to traffic 24 hours daily during the noted dates.

Please use EXIT#16 (Leigh Road interchange) to access McCallum Road from Highway 1.

This project is part of a much larger BC Hydro utility upgrade that continues East as far as Whirlaway Crescent. The project is being constructed in sections to best manage traffic. An updated traffic advisory will be issued regularly as the project progresses.

Traffic control personnel will be on-site during working hours to facilitate vehicle and pedestrian access to local businesses in the affected area. Please follow signage and Traffic Control Personnel directions during construction. Motorists should expect and should plan for longer commuting times. We apologize for the inconvenience.
