Effective on Thursday, July 16 2026, at 12 p.m. (noon), all open fires, including campfires, are banned across the Coastal Fire Centre. All permits are suspended and no new permits will be issued until further notice. Portable campfire apparatus that uses gaseous fuels such as propane are still permitted as long as they are CSA or ULC approved and the flame height is less than 15cm.

Please be advised that on Monday, April 28, 2025, and Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 8:00AM to 4:00PM, Peatt Road at Hockley Avenue there will be detours in place, weather permitting, and as required due to paving in the road right of way.
