What:Â Â Â Â Â Lane Closure During Intermittent BlastingÂ
Windley Contracting will be blasting along West Shore Parkway to accommodate future water main works approximately 500m south of Commander Court.Â
Intermittent stoppages of both northbound and southbound traffic on West shore Parkway adjacent to the work area can be expected during the blasting operations which will take place as shown below. For safety reasons, traffic will be stopped in both directions anywhere between 2 and 5 minutes during each blast.
Blasting operations are planned for the following times, please plan your route accordingly:
- Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 11:00AM and 1:00PM
- Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 10:30AM, 12:30PM, and 2:30PM
- Friday, February 2, 2024, at 10:30AM, 12:30PM, and 2:30PM
Digital message board signage has been inplace for a week and will be relocated closer to Sooke Road and Langford Parkway to notify traffic of the expected delays.
Ongoing water main works along the roadside in this area will take place until March 2024.
Traffic in both directions will be maintained during the duration of the water main works. Delays may be expected, motorists please be aware.
Certified traffic control will be on-site to direct vehicle traffic and the users of the Gravity zone bike trail will be notified of any interruptions. We apologize for the inconvenience.
