Bear Mountain Activity Centre: Maintenance Associate
MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE
Ecoasis Resort and Golf LLP, and Bear Mountain Golf & Tennis Resort Community are seeking an independent, motivated, high-energy individual to join our team as a Maintenance Associate.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
This position is responsible for the maintenance of our pools including water testing and treatment, and the maintenance of facilities, and performs general maintenance and custodial work within the Activity Centre, Tennis Bubble, Agronomy Buildings and Golf locker rooms.
Job Duties include:
Perform routine servicing on pool and maintain various pool equipment;
Test and adjust pool chemistry;
Clean and disinfect change rooms, washrooms, activity rooms, lockers, hallways and pools;
Unload and move shipments of materials and supplies;
Undertake minor facility maintenance and/or repairs (e.g., paint; repair plumbing, wood equipment and fixtures such as chairs, tables and cupboards);
Maintain garbage disposal and recycling programs;
Maintain high level of cleanliness of various public rooms, offices, and equipment;
Use/operate equipment, tools and vehicles such as articulating boom/scissor lift, hand trucks, table and chair dollies, electrical saws, drills, grinder, sander and hand tools;
Perform routine mechanical maintenance on Tennis Bubble;
Perform routine checks on golf locker rooms and replenish stock as required;
Perform general maintenance on agronomy buildings including general maintenance and repair; and,
Responding to managers’ maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner and general maintenance and repair of Ecoasis’ assets
Qualifications:
2 years of maintenance experience in a similar environment, including experience maintaining public pools;
General experience with plumbing, electrical and mechanical issues;
Competent with hand and power tools, drywall repairs and painting;.
Current and valid class 5 B.C. driver’s licence.
Successful candidates will be required to obtain their Pool Operator’s Level 1 and Level 2 Certificates and complete a Building Maintenance Course.
