What we are looking for
Our modern, bright and peaceful spa, nestled in the clouds in the scenic Bear Mountain Resort, is looking for a registered massage therapist to join our busy spa team. In this position, you will be part of a high-functioning team who performs specialized massages for our guests. If you are a graduate from a recognized massage school, and you hold a license registered in BC, you are the therapist for this position!
Who we are
Amatista Spa is introducing a modern luxury spa experience to Greater Victoria with a holistic approach to overall wellness and beauty. The completely renovated spa combines the natural serenity of the area with state-of-the-art technologies to create an idyllic mountain escape just minutes from downtown Victoria. The Spa offers signature treatments and luxury services that will both relax and energize guests. We use locally sourced spa products and signature equipment.

We are located on a bus-route at the top of the Bear Mountain Resort in Langford. For those employees with their own vehicles, we offer free parking on site. All staff enjoy top-notch free lunches in the staff room and can use the fitness facility free of charge.

About the job
- Perform massage while always maintaining the client’s comfort.
- Perform all 30, 60 and 90-minute body treatments, as certified to perform.
- Provide excellent customer service by reviewing appointments and making recommendations after completing each massage.
- Maintain a supply of massage oils, products, towels, sheets, and other necessary supplies in a neat and orderly fashion within the massage work area.
- Preparation of treatment rooms as required.
- Courteously interact and answer all facility-related questions with guests.
- Perform various massage & body treatments as required.
- Perform a detailed and personalized homecare recommendation after each treatment performed.
- Assist in the co-ordination of body technician services with other spa programs.
- Ensure awareness of current trends in body treatment industry.
- Promote spa services to guests.
