YMCA-YWCA Westhills: Group Fitness Instructor – Aquatic Fitness
Are you passionate about fitness and looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity? The Westhills YMCA-YWCA in Langford, BC is seeking two experienced and dynamic individuals to join our team as Group Fitness Instructors – Aquatic Fitness!
As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will design, modify, and instruct safe and effective aquatic fitness programs for our members in a group fitness setting. You will engage, motivate, and lead individuals, while ensuring excellent customer service and safety in program delivery. You will also model appropriate behaviors in line with our mission, vision, and values, and represent our organization in a professional manner.
We require candidates with a YMCA Group Fitness Instructor – Aquatic Fitness certification or equivalent (eg. BCRPA Aquatic Fitness certification, CALA), CPR (A) certification, and 1 year experience in group fitness instruction or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A clear Police/RCMP Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is required prior to the start date.
Our casual position offers a competitive wage of $31.30 per class and is entitled to an individual YMCA-YWCA membership. We also offer a supportive work environment where your commitment to health and safety, teamwork, communication, problem solving, planning, and organization will be valued.
