RESOLVED Gas Leak on Goldstream Ave – Avoid Area
UPDATE 3:39pm: Responding firefighters and Fortis BC staff have completed a safety assessment of the incident. The situation is under control. Residents are asked to avoid the area as responders are still on scene. Alternating two-way traffic has been established for those who are required to leave or enter the area. If you smell gas, please contact Fortis BC Natural Gas Emergency at 1-800-663-9911.
UPDATE 3:19pm: Fortis BC has shut off the gas leak at the 1100 and 1200 block of Goldstream Ave. Residents are still required shelter in place as emergency crews coordinate with Fortis BC to assess the area for safety. Updates to follow and available on the City’s Facebook account.

Due to an evolving incident involving a gas leak, residents located on the 1100 and 1200 block of Goldstream Ave are required to shelter in place. Fortis BC is on the scene attending. We ask that all other residents avoid the area. A single lane exit on Mantle Heights from Goldstream Ave to Leigh Rd is available to those who are required to leave the area.
