Music in the Park
On Sundays in July and August from 2 pm-4 pm, come down to The Langford Station, located at 720 Station Avenue, for an afternoon of singing, dancing and fun! Featuring a mix of local musical talent, Music in the Park is a popular community event, so we suggest arriving early! Bring your fold-out chairs and your dancing shoes and get ready for an afternoon of entertainment.
While you’re there, explore all The Langford Station has to offer, including interactive murals, local makers, unique retailers, or grab a bite from your favourite food truck.
August 2nd – Rock Therapy
Rock Therapy is a powerhouse 6-piece band stacked with some of Canada’s finest rock veterans. The lineup includes Glen Willows, guitarist and original songwriter for iconic rock band Harlequin (“Innocence,” “I Did It for Love,” “Sweet Things in Life”). On drums and vocals is Ed Cliffe, known from Rare Breed, Tyrro, The Knobs, and The Darby Mills Project. Kent Webb brings guitar, vocals, synth, and keys, with roots in Younger Than Yesterday and the KISS tribute Rip N’ Destroy. Holding down the low end is Jeff Mousley, formerly of The Chrissy Steele Project, Room Service, and The Fabulous B-Sides. Fronting the band is powerhouse vocalist Christina Southern (Chrissy Steele), whose 40-year legacy with Room Service, The Headpins, and the Chrissy Steele Project is known worldwide. Rounding out the lineup is Scott Ramsay, lead vocals/saxes/percussion, a staple of The Soul Shakers, Groove Kitchen, Lateshift, The Fabulous B-Sides and countless blues acts.
